Quote of the Day

"The Constitution does not just protect those whose views we share; it also protects those with whose views we disagree."
Edward Kennedy (February 22, 1932 – August 25, 2009)

  1. I love this quote. I feel kind of ambivalent about the Kennedys because they represent privilege (and the ways privilege can encourage you to misbehave, and allow you to get away with it). But I do think that Ted Kennedy is an example of a person who did finally grow up in spite of his privilege and became an advocate for those less privileged than himself. And that is certainly praiseworthy.
