Finally. Someone in conservative politics who acknowledges the hypocrisy of advocating for "small gov't" while also trying to dictate to others what their private lives should look like. He'll probably just be written off as fringe or crazy.
You would think that the libertarian sector of the republican party could be the most powerful voices in talking sense into the socially conservative sector. But I don't think the marriage equality issue is about talking sense. It's all about emotions and insecurities. Talking sense doesn't touch that.
