  2. This kind of thing brings back really fond memories for me. I have to say that when you're involved in this kind of activist work, you begin to wonder which is stronger: your dedication to the cause or your addiction to the adrenaline rush you get when participating in this kind of stunt. Food for thought.

    I can totally relate to this. And this is a topic that doesn't seem to provoke much conversation in activist circles. But there really is nothing like the adrenaline rush involved in climbing a crane to hang a banner for the whole city to see (mine was a Rainforest Action Network one) while wondering if/when you'll be arrested for it. Which is how I imagine these climbers experienced it.

    Oh wait, natural childbirth actually does give you a bigger adrenaline rush. But besides that, nothing compares.
